Sogetsu Ikebana is the modern school of Japanese flower arranging, dynamic and relevant to the times. It is the one of the largest schools of ikebana in Japan, with headquarters in Tokyo and branches throughout the world. Sogetsu emphasizes individual creative expression using the materials of nature as the medium. Megumi Schacher is a certified instructor with the rank of riji, which is the highest possible rank. She is an active member of the ikebana community, teaching, exhibiting, and demonstrating the art and practice of Sogetsu ikebana. Today she will create arrangements for you that introduce the concepts and techniques of ikebana.
